Hello Antonians! My name is Georgia and I am your new VP Welfare for this coming year. I am from outside of Chicago, and I am reading for an MPhil in Latin American Studies with a focus on Brazil. As VP Welfare I am here to make sure every student feels happy and settled here within our community. In my first term I was trained as a peer supporter and along with my fabulous Welfare Team we can respond to students’ needs within and outside of college. If you have any problems or concerns with accommodation, disabilities, financial hardship, equal opportunities, physical, sexual and mental health issues, I would be happy to speak with you in confidence and help get you the appropriate help if need be. One of my main responsibilities is to provide condoms that are readily accessible, literature and events about sexual health, and if need be, pregnancy test with the utmost discretion. The Welfare Team and I are really excited for this year and we will strive to make ourselves available within college. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact with me if you have an issue or even if you just want to chat because I am more than happy to talk to you!
